Mariana Shuk is a Colombian artist who migrated to the design world after she graduated from GMS&J Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery MA at the Royal College of Art (London 2002-2004).

She has exhibited her jewellery pieces in group exhibitions such as "THINK TWICE, Latin-american Jewelry", Museum of Art and Design MAD (New York 2010), "WORK IN PROGRESS" Gulbenkian Gallery (London), "THE SHOW 2004" Henry Moore Gallery (London), “XII SMS SILVER ART EXHIBITION”, Sztuki Legnicy Gallery 2004 (Poland), "101 RINGS" Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Exhibitions (SOFA Chicago and New York) , "AM FEUER" Orea Gallery (Berlin), "EL MUSEO SE VISTE" Museum of Contemporary Art (Bogotá), "THE EMPEROR´S NEW CLOTHES" and "ENTRECASA" Santa Fé Gallery (Bogotá).

In August 2006, she inaugurated her solo exhibition "OBJETO FINO INVENTO" at the Alianza Francesa de Bogotá within the Design and Architecture exhibitions cycle.

She has participated in design fairs such as New Designers 2004 (London), What's Next 2005 (Paris), Expoartesanías and Expodiseño (Bogotá) and NY NOW 2018 (New York).

She currently works in Bogotá in her boutique-workshop which opened to the public in 2004 where she creates, produces and sells contemporary jewellery directly to local and international clients. Two times a year she invites other designers or craft artists to sale their work in this unique retail space, to create a dialogue with her jewels. Artists such as Masako Ban, creator of Acrylic.jp (2013, 2015), Diana Fraser Colombian ceramist (2015), textile designer Juliana Hurtado with her brand MrsGoodLove (2018) and Chilean-Colombian ceramist and artist Carol Young (2019).

Mariana Shuk es artista plástica egresada de la Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, 1997). De 2002 a 2004 hizo un máster en orfebrería, metalistería, platería y joyería en el Royal College of Art en Londres.

Ha participado en exposiciones colectivas como “THINK TWICE, Joyería Latinoamericana”, en el Museo de Arte y Diseño de Nueva York MAD (2010), “WORK IN PROGRESS” en la Gulbenkian Gallery (Londres) y “THE SHOW 2004” en La Galería Henry Moore, (Londres), en la XII SMS SILVER ART EXHIBITION, exposición itinerante de la Galería Sztuki Legnicy en Polonia, “101 RINGS” en Sculpture Objects & Functional Art Expositions SOFA (Chicago y Nueva York), “AM FEUER” Galería Orea (Berlín), “El MUSEO SE VISTE” Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá, “EL TRAJE NUEVO DEL EMPERADOR” y “ENTRECASA” en la Galería Santa Fé, en el Planetario Distrital de Bogotá.

En el mes de agosto de 2006 inauguró la exposición individual “OBJETO FINO INVENTO” en la Alianza Francesa de Bogotá dentro del ciclo de exposiciones de Diseño y Arquitectura.

Ha participado en ferias de diseño como New Designers(Londres, 2004), What´s Next (París 2005), Expoartesanías y Expodiseño en Bogotá, NY NOW (Nueva York 2018).

Actualmente trabaja en Bogotá en su taller-boutique abierto al público desde 2004, donde crea, produce y vende sus joyas directamente a clientes locales e internacionales. En este espacio único en Bogotá, hace colaboraciones con otros artistas, artesanos o diseñadores dos veces al año para ofrecerle a sus clientes otros productos que conversen con sus joyas. Algunos de sus invitados han sido la japonesa Masako Ban creadora de Acrylic.jp (2013, 2015),Diana Fraser ceramista colombiana (2017), Juliana Hurtado con su marca textil MrsGoodLove (2018), la ceramista y artista colombo-chilena Carol Young (2019)
